What is bavoli?

It is free: no monthly fee, no per-cover fees, and no commission on orders. bavoli takes a flat 50c on a pickup order, $1 on a delivery order, and 0.5% on a dine-in QR order, your guest covers it at checkout by default, and you receive the full subtotal, tax, and tip. bavoli does not replace your POS, payroll, or accounting.

How do I sign up?

Head to our sign-up page and create an account with your email. You'll be up and running in minutes, with no credit card required. Once you've signed up, our onboarding flow walks you through setting up your restaurant, floor plan, and operating hours.

How long does setup take?

Most restaurants are set up and accepting reservations in about 5 minutes. Configure your restaurant details, operating hours, and a floor plan, and you're live. Migrating from another platform? Email us and we'll help you import your CSVs.

What do I need to get started?

Just an email address and your restaurant's basic information: name, address, phone number, and operating hours. A floor plan layout is helpful but not required; you can always add or refine it later.

Do I need to install any software?

No. bavoli is a web application that works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or phone. There's nothing to download or install. Just log in and go.

How much does bavoli cost?

Nothing. There is no monthly fee, no per-cover fee, no contract, and no credit card to sign up. Every restaurant gets every feature: unlimited reservations, tables, floor plans, staff accounts, and guest profiles, the waitlist, SMS and email, the AI phone agent, menus, booking page customization, no-show protection, analytics, online ordering, dine-in QR ordering, kiosk, and group orders.

Are there per-cover or per-reservation fees?

Never. bavoli charges nothing per cover, per reservation, per text, or per call. Whether you seat 50 or 500 guests a night, the price stays at zero.

What does online ordering cost?

bavoli's only charges are per-order fees on online ordering: 50c per pickup order, $1 per delivery order, and 0.5% of the subtotal on dine-in QR and kiosk orders. By default your guest pays that inside the checkout order-fee line together with card processing, so you keep 100% of the menu price, tax, and tip. You can choose to cover the fee yourself instead, and then it comes out of your payout. Card processing goes to Stripe at cost, and delivery couriers (Uber Direct, US only) are passed through at cost with no markup.

Is there a catch? A cap, a time limit, a card?

No. There are no tiers, no time limits, and no caps on reservations, tables, staff accounts, or guest profiles. You never enter a card for the software. Stripe is connected only if you want to take card payments for orders, card holds, or deposits, and bavoli takes nothing on holds, deposits, or no-show fees. bavoli may suspend a restaurant that appears to be abusing the platform, for example by running up messaging or AI costs far beyond normal restaurant use; the Terms of Service have the details.

How does bavoli make money?

On the per-order fees: a flat 50c when a guest orders pickup, $1 when a guest orders delivery from your bavoli page, and 0.5% on a dine-in QR or kiosk order. That is the whole list. bavoli does well when your ordering page does well, and nothing else about your restaurant is metered.

How do reservations work?

Guests can book through your personalized booking page, and you can also add reservations manually from your dashboard. Each reservation shows the guest name, party size, date, time, and any special notes. You get a real-time view of your restaurant's availability and can manage everything from one place.

How does the waitlist work?

When your restaurant is full, guests can join your digital waitlist. You can track wait times, party sizes, and notify guests by SMS or email when their table is ready. The waitlist integrates directly with your floor plan so you always know what's available.

What about no-show protection?

bavoli tracks visits, no-shows, and cancellations for every guest, and highlights repeat no-shows on the reservation screen so you can take them into account before confirming. This helps you protect your revenue without alienating good guests.

Can I manage floor plans?

Yes. bavoli includes a visual floor plan builder where you can lay out your dining room with tables of different sizes and shapes. Assign reservations to specific tables, see your floor at a glance, and optimize seating in real time.

Your dashboard shows reservation trends, cover counts, no-show rates, day-of-week patterns, and booking sources. More analytics, like peak hours and waitlist metrics, are on the roadmap. Use these insights to make smarter staffing, inventory, and marketing decisions.

Can I customize my booking page?

Yes. Every restaurant gets a fully branded booking page with its own colors, fonts, template, hero photo, and URL, and the "Powered by bavoli" badge can be switched off in your settings.

Do I own my data?

Yes, 100%. Your restaurant data and guest information belong to you. We will never sell, share, or monetize your data. If you leave bavoli, you take everything with you.

Can I export my guest data?

Yes. You can export your guest list as CSV anytime from the Guests page: names, contact info, tags, and visit history. Reservation and analytics exports are on our roadmap.

How is my data protected?

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We use Supabase for our database infrastructure with enterprise-grade security, automated backups, and row-level security policies. Your data is hosted in SOC 2 compliant data centers.

Is bavoli GDPR compliant?

Yes. We offer a signed Data Processing Agreement, honor guest deletion requests, load analytics only after cookie consent, and let you export your guest list as CSV. Can guests request their data be deleted?

Yes. Guests can request deletion themselves from the reservation manage link they receive by email, with no action required from you. For staff-initiated deletions, contact support and we'll process them for you within GDPR and CCPA timelines.

Do I need to pick a plan?

No. There is one bavoli and it is free. Every feature is on from the day you sign up, and there is nothing to switch, subscribe to, or renew.

How do I cancel my account?

You can close your account from Settings in your dashboard at any time. There is no billing period to wait out. After closing, you'll still be able to export your data for 30 days. We don't believe in making it hard to leave.

Yes. Staff accounts are unlimited and included. Invite as many team members as you need from Settings > Staff.
